The Viridian Folic Acid and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is designed to be taken before and during pregnancy. A daily folic acid supplement is recommended by the Government’s Chief Medical Officers for all women trying to conceive until at least the 12th week of pregnancy. This supplement contains 400ug of folic acid which is the recommended level. Folic acid (folate) helps reduce tiredness and fatigue, the normal function of the immune system, psychological function, and homocysteine metabolism, amino acid synthesis, cell division and blood formation. The supplement also provides 10mg of DHA, an omega 3 essential fatty acid which contributes to healthy brain and eye development of the foetus.
