Head impacts in sports involve rotational forces that damage the brain irreparably.
These injuries, resulting from sub-concussive impacts and concussions in sport, rotate the brain inside the skull. This shears brain cells, tears blood vessels, leading to abnormal, exaggerated brain inflammation and over time damages the blood-brain barrier. It’s this inflammation that, over time, can increase your risk of neurodegenerative disease, like CTE, an early onset dementia. The Rotection® technology in Halos® headbands is proven to reduce the transmission of rotational forces by up to 61%, based on independent testing. Rotection® technology with nine protective layers move in a “zig-zag” motion to absorb up to 30mm of movement. This reduces the transmission of rotational forces to the brain and your risk of concussion and long-term neurodegenerative disease from sub-concussive impacts.

How to wear Rezon Halos®
The narrow section of the band should sit at the front of the head, on the forehead and above the eyebrows. The Rezon logo should be positioned on the left temple area. It is personal preference to have the band above the ears or covering the top of the ears, the band has been designed to accommodate both wearing styles. The band should be equally aligned on the head, not twisted to the right or left side. The broader section of the band should be positioned at the back of the head, hair can be worn above the band, using the drop at the back to accommodate a pony tail.
